About Apis Dreams
a Labor of Love...
I’m Lisa, and I’m glad you’re here. I had the privilege of growing up on a working farm, where I developed multiple skills and work ethics, including livestock husbandry, gardening, sewing, and cooking. Our food was truly “farm to table!” Quality food and a focus on a natural, healthy lifestyle has continued to be something I pursue passionately and want to share with you, whether through my Doula services or by creating natural products such as honey and natural artisanal soaps.
I am married and have been blessed with three children, all grown, and I now have five wonderful grandchildren! We are a military family, and I am active in my Church as a leader of the Audio Visual team, as well as leading a Women’s Bible study.
In addition to my life experiences, I attended the University of Akron and studied Dietetics and Basic Psychology. I enjoyed working as a certified Ophthalmology Technician for 17 years. I was ready for a change and became a Certified Birth Doula. Along with this certification, I have had training in spinning babies, lactation, and worked as a Midwife Assistant for 3 yrs.

Two prenatal visits to assess your needs and desires for birth, define and understand our expectations of one another, and provide you with useful tools for labor and birth

Birth preferences assistance to help you clarify your preferences for birth and explain the options that are available to you

Expand your knowledge by supporting education through books, videos, birth and baby care

Continued physical, emotional, and informational support for you and your partner for the duration of labor and birth, to help you hold and move towards the vision you created for your baby’s birth

Initial breastfeeding support immediately after birth to help your baby latch on properly and encourage establishment of breastfeeding

Two postpartum follow-up visits to assist with breastfeeding, answer any questions you have in the early postpartum period. Also to celebrate the birth of your baby

Unlimited phone, text and email support to answer your questions and offer support throughout pregnancy and labor
